Construction arbitrations in Egypt are mostly seated in Cairo, under the rules of the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) or the ICC, and governed by the Arbitration Law No. 27 of 1994. Arbitration of a dispute under an administrative contract needs the approval of the competent minister. Many FIDIC-based contracts also require a dispute board before arbitration.
Arbitrations are won on the records. We index the programme, progress reports, minutes and correspondence early, rebuild the as-built where needed, and make sure every date in the expert report can be traced to a document.
