Primavera P6 Baseline Programmes in Dubai

  • a baseline programme due within the contract period
  • a programme returned with consultant comments
  • an acceleration or recovery programme to prepare

Or call +971 4 361 8775 or message us on WhatsApp.

Full profile

Why baseline programmes get rejected

Most rejected baselines fail on the same points. We check for each of them before submission:

  • Open ends, missing logic and too many constraints, so the critical path is not real
  • Durations that do not match quantities, crew sizes or the method statement
  • Missing design, submittal, procurement and authority approval activities (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defence)
  • Calendars that ignore the working week, public holidays or summer working hours
  • No narrative, or a narrative that does not explain the sequence and the assumptions
  • A programme that does not follow the developer’s WBS, coding or submission format

What the baseline includes

  • A Primavera P6 programme (XER and PDF) with a WBS that follows the contract and the developer’s format
  • Engineering, submittal, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover activities
  • Contract milestones, key dates and access dates from the tender documents
  • Resource loading and manpower and equipment histograms where the contract asks for them
  • A programme narrative: sequence, critical path, assumptions, risks and calendars
  • A schedule quality check report using DCMA 14-point style checks

Programme timing under FIDIC

Under FIDIC 1999 the contractor submits a detailed programme within 28 days of the commencement notice. FIDIC 2017 sets out what the programme must contain and lets the Engineer respond within 21 days. Many Dubai contracts change these periods in the particular conditions, so we check them first and plan the submission around them.

Your first conversation

What we cover

A free 30-minute call. We look at your contract and its programme clauses, the developer’s programme requirements, the current status of the programme, any consultant comments, and the submission deadline.

What to share first

A short description and your next deadline are enough. If you like, name the contract form and summarise the latest consultant comments. You do not need to send contract documents before the call.

Scope and fee

After the call we agree which documents we need. Once we have reviewed them, we confirm the scope and fee in writing before any work starts.

Send a short brief

No meeting needed. Give us your work email and two sentences about the issue. Please do not attach contract documents at this stage.

Ahmed Elsayed replies within 1 working day (Monday to Friday, UAE time). Your brief goes only to the Solvix sales inbox. If we go on to work together, we sign an NDA and then send you a private shared folder for the contract documents.

    After approval

An approved baseline becomes the reference for progress and for any extension of time. We can set up the monthly update process, the progress measurement and the reports, so that delay can be shown clearly when it happens. If delay has already happened, see our EOT claims service in Dubai.

Our free P6 schedule health check template (DCMA 14-point) runs the same checks we use before every submission.
